About This Course

This nationally-recognised Unit of Competency is for anyone who may need to provide a CPR Response in a community or workplace setting. Learning CPR could lead to saving a life. METS trainers have a wealth of experience and knowledge in delivering CPR and first aid training which is in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

  • Training is conducted in groups of 10-15 to ensure students receive individual support (groups of up to 20 can be catered to).
  • Training can be delivered at your workplace, a local venue, school or childcare centre… where & when it suits you!
  • Public courses are delivered at our modern, fully equipped training facilities in Mascot and Kingsgrove.
  • On completing the course, electronic copy of results will be available. If a printed copy is required, $10 will be charged for printing and postage.

 

Following the guidelines set by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC), METS recommends first aiders also update their CPR skills every 12 months.

Certification

Upon successful completion of enrolment, training and assessment, learners who are competent receive a Statement of Attainment for: HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (valid for 12 months). Learners can do a refresher course with METS and recertify their skills at any time.

Pre Requisites

Participants must be 14 years of age or over (those under 18 must present an enrolment form from a parent or guardian). This course requires every participant to complete a variety of First Aid scenarios including practical assessments. If your health/fitness restricts you from completing all required scenarios, you still will be able to participate but may not be eligible to receive the nationally-recognised certificate.
