About This Course

When providing services or supervision to children and young people, it’s important to identify signs that may indicate the risk of harm, abuse, or neglect. Equally important is the response to these indicators, and the support provided.

In completing this course, you will learn to:

  • Implement work practices which support the protection of children and young people.
  • Report indication of possible risk of harm.
  • Apply ethical and nurturing practices in work with children and young people.

 

The CHCPRT025 Identify and report children and young people at risk course is a nationally recognised training and assessment unit and applies to workers in a range of roles providing services and supervision to children and young people.

CHCPRT025 Identify and report children and young people at risk 

For Educators and staff who have previously completed the unit CHCPRT001 and would like to upgrade to the current unit CHCPRT025. Upon successful completion Learners will be issued with a Statement of Attainment in CHCPRT025.

Individuals: Accredited training and assessment completed self-paced online.

Employers: Accredited training and can be delivered as either a 2-hour training workshop with online assessments or online only.

*Educators and staff who have previously completed unit CHCCHILD401A/B are required to complete the CHCPRT025 FULL COURSE. Upon successful completion Learners will be issued with a Statement of Attainment in CHCPRT025.

Child Protection
Refresher Course

For educators and staff who have previously completed the unit CHCPRT025 but would like to refresh their skills and knowledge of child protection. Upon completion participants will be issued with a certificate of participation.

Individuals: Self-paced, online training

Employers: This training can be delivered as either a 1-2 hour training workshop virtually or face to face
