Study Early Childhood Education in 2026 with Financial Support

Applications are now open for the 2026 NSW Government Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Scholarship Program, and METS is an approved training provider.

If you’re considering studying Early Childhood Education and Care in 2026, you may be eligible to receive up to $6,000 in financial support to help cover the cost of your qualification.

What You Need to Know

  • Up to $6,000 per successful applicant
  • Applications open: 20 April 2026
  • Applications close: 29 May 2026
  • Available for eligible ECEC VET qualifications
  • For students who commenced study after 1 January 2026

This scholarship is designed to support the growth and retention of the Early Childhood workforce across NSW.

Who Can Apply?

The scholarship is available to students studying eligible Early Childhood Education and Care qualifications, including:

  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

You must be studying with an approved provider and meet the NSW Government eligibility criteria.

Extra Support May Be Available

Additional financial support may apply for:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants
  • Students living in priority NSW locations
  • New entrants to the Early Childhood Education and Care sector
    (including retention incentive payments)
