Why We Conduct LLN & Digital Assessments
To help us understand how we can best support your learning, METS Training Services completes all Language, Literacy & Numeracy (LLN) and Digital Assessments online through LLN Robot. These assessments help us understand your current skills so we can provide the right level of support throughout your course. They are not a test of your intelligence — they simply ensure you can participate safely and confidently in your training.
You’ll receive two separate emails for each assessment, each containing your login details. When they arrive, simply follow the links and complete both assessments as soon as you can — we’re here to help if you need any guidance along the way.
All METS Training Services courses are delivered in English, and our team is always ready to support you throughout your training journey.
Language, Literacy & Numeracy (LLN) Requirements
To take this course, you’ll need a foundational grasp of English and basic numeracy. This means you should be able to:
- Interpret essential workplace materials like safety signage and instructional manuals.
- Communicate through clear, concise written responses.
- Handle numbers for practical tasks, such as counting rhythms for CPR or checking medication expiry dates.
- Process verbal directions and accurately document spoken information.
Digital Literacy Requirements
To participate successfully, learners need basic digital skills, including the ability to:
- Use a computer, tablet, or smartphone
- Access and use email
- Navigate online platforms and applications
- Access to internet
If you enrol in a virtual course, you will also need to access and use Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Physical Requirements
Some of our courses required learners to participate in physical assessments for competency-based and includes practical, hands-on activities. Examples are Community Services qualifications/ First Aid. Assessment methods may include observation, questioning, and simulated scenarios, and you may be paired with other learners during some tasks.
Please be aware that some tasks can be physically demanding. For example, in First Aid or CPR all students must be able to perform 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on a manikin placed on the floor. For assessment integrity, the manikin must remain on the floor and this requirement cannot be modified.
If you would like to confirm what physical requirements are needed for your chosen qualification, please contact us on (02) 98380567
Participation Requirements
Learners are expected to participate in accordance with the METS Learner Handbook
All qualifications include both knowledge and performance components. To be deemed competent, students must complete all theory and practical activities. While we provide support throughout your learning, competency can only be awarded when all requirements are met.
Support for Learners with Additional Needs
We encourage learners to let us know if they have a disability, learning difficulty, or any personal circumstances that may affect their training. We will work with you to explore reasonable adjustments where appropriate and within training package requirements.
Privacy & Data Security
Your LLN and Digital Assessment information is kept confidential and is used only to support your training and meet compliance requirements.
Technical Support
If you experience technical issues accessing LLN Robot or the Learner Portal, our team can guide you through troubleshooting steps or resend your login details.
